Active Directory is a very important component of IT infrastructure based on Windows platform. Users perform various activities in AD catalog daily, so organizations need to allocate considerable resources to track all the changes in a timely manner. That is why Active Directory management and administration is an issue for IT specialists. We are starting a series of articles aiming to explain the basics of AD management and administration within large companies.

Even perfectly designed, planned, and implemented Active Directory infrastructure will not function properly without everyday monitoring and maintenance. In large companies Active Directory would be subject to thousands of changes every day (creation/deletion of user accounts, group membership, delegation rights, etc). To guarantee that all these changes in the network and IT workspace will not affect Active Directory functioning, it is necessary to daily monitor it with the help of Active Directory management tools.

Among a variety of AD tools there are some that offer a set of features that help to reduce the complexity of company management, IT workload, administrative costs, and improve security. 7. Definition of critical operations that are executed only after the execution is permitted by a responsible person;

And as for the article itself - I understand your point. Really all hard core IT people already know the information stated in the article and it is completely useless for them, but... this article will be really helpful for newbies and for marketing specialists who explore IT market. Thank you for your question one more time. Hope I covered it :-)
